Hell Up In Cleveland

Politics, music, sex, art, fast cars, and miscellaneous junk. You've been warned.

Winter Haven, FL - July 2013

This is Chain O’ Lakes Park, the spring training home of the Cleveland Indians from 1993 to 2008.  It was built in 1966, and served as the spring training home of the Boston Red Sox from 1966 to 1992.  This is how I found it in July of 2013, totally open and basically as if the Tribe just walked out one day.  I remember coming here as a kid in the 1990’s, which was the best time to be an Indians fan in the last 60 or so years.  It’s been six months, and the experience of standing on the same home plate once guarded by Sandy Alomar Jr. still is an eerie, yet awe-inspiring thing that I can’t wrap my mind around.
